Five for Friday!

I have linked up with Doodle Bugs Teaching...
fiveforfriday

1.  I watched Game of Thrones - I dvr'd the whole season.  Took 2 days, good thing my kids sleep in! (yes, they are teenagers) - EEPP!! I cannot wait until season 4!! The Mother of Dragons is BA!  And I cried my eyes out - worse that when Ned Stark was beheaded!!

2.  Had lunch with my kids -- McDonald's; but it is what they want!  Went grocery shopping!  Our cupboards were looking kinda bare!  My poor kids! Of course, they won't starve, but the did not have snacky foods to munch on.

3.  I'm a nerd and cannot keep away from school.  This week I printed Leveled Library Labels from Erica Bohrer's TPT Store, laminated the basket signs, and went to my classroom.  I love how they look on my baskets!  I thought putting stickers on my books would take for-e-ver; but not as bad as I thought. Click picture for this awesome buy!

4.  I started my own blogspot.com site. Still learning and hope to get better at it. Any tips would be appreciated!! ;D

5.  Finally, Today (6/28) is my 17th Anniversary to the best husband on the planet!  While he is at work, I am going to clean the house!  Ugg! But Furniture will be pulled and dust will be G-O-N-E!!

Whew!  Happy Friday!

Door Hangers...

I have made some things to use in my classroom this year.  I have used decorative foam door holders in the past, but they get dirty and faded, I am constantly redoing them each year.  So I have decided to make them on the computer.  I cut these out, laminated them back to back, and punched a hole in it.  I use a 3M hook on my door.  When we leave the classroom, the Door Sign Manager makes sure we let everyone know where we are.  Please click HERE for your free copy. Sorry the picture I too was very glared.  I'll post one next week. Hope you like it!

New...

Hi first Grade Friends. I am new to this whole blogging thing. I follow some pretty amazing blogs. I am so not in their league, but it looks like a lot of fun!

I am getting ready for the new school year. Anyone who thinks teachers get their summers off, talk to my husband. All the work we do in the summer is pro-Bono. I packed up the day after school was out and was able to unpack three days later. I usually take two weeks before school starts to unpack, organize, and plan...yikes. I took the advice of one of my colleagues this year and have spent one day per week getting this done. I am happy to day that in only three days, unpacking and organizing is done, for the most part. Now planning.
